Rebecca
has been riding horses
since she was two years old and jumping horses since she was five. She started
learning to train young horses when she was sixteen and began showing in
conformation hunters. Rebecca's mother, Mary Warne-Parks and Rebecca began a
breeding program in 1993 with their stallion Nite Spot. Nite Spot is a very unique
thoroughbred stallion who not only had outstanding conformation and movement,
but also had paint markings that made him eligible for not only the Jockey Club
Registry, but also the APHA. Nite Spot
was made into a Peter Stone model in
2000. Nite Spot had many successful young foals,
including Heart of Nite who won many Hunter Breeding classes, Lucky Kharma who
won numerous hunter classes, and some other foals that did well are O' What A
Nite, One Divine Nite, Incognito, Sunrise Windsong, and
Race The Wind.
Rebecca has
also shown in the jumper division where she had much success on Hesper who has won
numerous Marshall & Sterlings, Championships (including Huntington Beach,
Del Mar, Showpark, Ride America, Indio and overall Champion at Indio for all 6 weeks).
Hesper & Rebecca were a great team with consecutive days of wins at Del Mar, Ca.
with competition including as many as 80 riders. They shut the competition out a
week and Hesper and Rebecca won their classes 4 days straight. In Indio they
were on an 11 day winning streak (this may have been a record) Hesper and
Rebecca had their last win at Showpark for the Adult Amateur Invitationals
for the Purina Finals. Out of the top twenty riders and horses on the west
coast, Hesper won this class and then they retired him. In between all of this
riding Rebecca managed to get her degree in High-Technology Business Management from
California State University San Marcos in 2005.
Alex is originally from Germany and has served in the U.S. Navy. Alex received his citizenship in 2003. Alex recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. Sports Management degree. Alex is currently working on his Master's Degree and working on starting up his own business that will involve Mixed Martial Arts clothing & supplies.
We moved from California to Kentucky in 2005.
We have one race horse that has won a couple races. Her name is Pish Posh. Later this year we are looking to begin some young horses
jumping at the local
show grounds. Some of our prospects include Favorite Nite, who is the nicest colt
that Nite Spot produced during our time owning him. Favorite Nite has outstanding conformation and
movement and we are looking forward to his future. Mr. Perfect is another
stallion that received the highest conformation score out of all the stallions at the Sporthorse approvals
in 2004. Incognito is a three year old colt who received a perfect
score at the Oldenburg approvals.
As for Breyers, Rebecca has judged performance, custom, and OF Breyer (halter and collectibility). Rebecca's favorite class to judge is OF Breyer collectibility. Rebecca & Alex have held a few shows at Royal Oaks Meadows in California and they have had a NAN show in Lexington, KY. They have also held a 2 day show in Paris, KY.
